Damascus, SANA- For the first time, Syria will host the international Informatics Olympiad in Teams in its 7th session for 2024 season.
Olympic competitions will start tomorrow, May 10, and will last for three days.
Twenty school teams participate in this Olympics “remotely” from 10 countries (Syria, Italy, Hungary, Romania, Egypt) from Member States in addition to (Armenia, Bulgaria, Pakistan, Slovakia and Iran) as guests, Distinction and Creativity Agency said in a statement.
The international Informatics Olympiad for teams is the most important youth scientific competition globally at the level of school students and it launched launch in 2017 while Syrian participation in it began in 2022.
