Syria, Russia discuss means of enhancing economic cooperation

Damascus, SANA- Minister of Finance, Dr. Kenan Yaghi, discussed with a delegation from the administration of the Institute for Research in World Economics and International Relations in the Russian Federation, economic relations and means of enhancing them and encouraging private investment.

During the meeting, Yaghi pointed out that the terrorist war on Syria included systematic targeting of the national economy, and is currently at the beginning of the recovery phase, despite the negative repercussions on the economic situation.

Assistant Director General of the Institute for Research on World Economics and International Policy, noted that discussing various economic aspects and developments in the Syrian economy contribute to enhancing the investments of Russian companies in Syria.

Both sides was agreed to continue communication between the Ministry and the Institute through the Russian Cultural Center, to provide all legal and financial clarifications to Russian investors, and to serve the strengthening of economic relations between the two countries.
