New York, SANA- Moscow has circulated a UN Security Council draft statement condemning Israeli aggression on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Russian First Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Dmitry Polyansky said.
As a result of discussions and based on an agreement with our Iranian and Syrian colleagues, we circulated a Security Council draft statement to the media, which condemns what happened,” Polyansky was quoted by RT as saying on Telegram.
“This is another opportunity to test the real intentions of our Western colleagues. We’ll see how work on the document goes,” Polyansky added.
Earlier on Tuesday, Russia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzya, has renewed his country’s condemnation of the Israeli attacks on Syrian territory, which constitute a “flagrant violation of Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.”
