Damascus, SANA- Syrian-Russian Friendship Committee at the People’s Assembly discussed on Monday with Ambassador of Russia to Syria, ALEXANDER EFIMOV, means of boosting parliamentary ties between the Assembly in Syria and the Russian Duma in the interests of both peoples.
Charmin and members of the committee called for intensifying the serious efforts on all levels to enhance bilateral relations, appreciating stance of Russia in support of Syria against terrorism.
Ambassador Efimov, for his part, affirmed that his country was and still is willing to offer all possible capabilities to back Syria and its people.
“My country is a basic supporter for the peace process in the Middle East,” the Ambassador said, considering that the Israeli aggressions on Syrian territory is a violation of the international law that poses threat to life of civilians.
