The 3rd edition of International “Jarih al-Watan”Games opened

Damascus ,SANA- The competitions of the 3rd edition of Jarih al-Watan (Wounded of the Homeland)International Games were opened Sunday,with the participation of the teams of Iraq, Indonesia and Iran, in addition to Syria.

The opening ceremony, which was held in Tishreen Sports City, witnessed an artistic painting under the name “Salute to Palestine,” which represented the steadfastness of Palestinian people and their clinging to their land, then screening of a documentary film about the achievements of special sports champions in foreign championships, and the journey and achievements of wounded athletes.

The tournament’s competitions will begin Monday with the participation of 173 athletes, as the participants will compete in swimming, physical strength, athletics, volleyball, table tennis, and basketball.
