Tehran, SANA- The US fully stands by the Zionist entity, while its military and security services are the ones leading the aggression against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian has affirmed, stressing that the equation of war will be determined by the resistance.
Abdollahian’s remarks came in a press conference held after the first meeting of foreign ministers of the “3 plus 3” format in Tehran today.
“The Zionist entity is known as an occupying and usurping entity under the international law. If the occupation is not removed, the rule of the occupied territories fully applies to the situation in Palestine. Therefore, under international law, those whose lands were occupied can take up arms to defend their legitimate rights,” Abdollahian said.
He added: “We are witnessing that some Western countries, especially the American administration, are trying to completely ignore what the Israeli occupation is doing, and they are trying to condemn and confront only the Palestinian resistance.”
The Iranian Foreign Minister noted that the Americans have conveyed messages calling for not to expand the war and to exercise restraint, but the US has proven in the past two weeks that by sending weapons and supporting the Israeli entity, it is working to escalate the war on Gaza and the West Bank and to continue shedding the blood of women, children and civilians in Palestine.
