Syrian sporting stars are strongly present at Hangzhou Asian Games to be kicked tomorrow

Beijing, SANA- Huge number of athletes representing 40 countries will participate at Asian Games to be started in china on Saturday at 20:00 , Chinese local time, and at 15:00 at Damascus time.

Syria is participating at the Asian Games this year through five sports: equestrian, weightlifting, boxing, wrestling, and athletics.
This is Syria’s eleventh participation in the Asian Games, which were first organized in New Delhi, India, in 1951. Syrian participation in the Asian tournaments began in 1978 in the Thai city of Bangkok.

Syria’s medal tally in the Asian Games is 34 medals, 10 gold, 7 silver, and 17 bronze.
