Palestinian president: Political solution is only way out from crisis in Syria

Occupied Jerusalem, SANA- Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said on Wednesday that political solution is the only exit route from the crisis in Syria.

Criticizing the “Arab Spring” that swept through the region, Abbas said that it came to put into effect the New Middle East project.

Abbas was quoted as saying during a meeting of the Palestine Liberation Organization(PLO) Central Committee: ” We in the PLO are the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people, and we do not interfere in the affairs of Arab states …We said from the beginning that a political solution is the best one for the crisis in Syria.”

He painted a grim picture of the situation in “Arab Spring” countries, expressing rejection of the acts of ISIS and attempts to use Islam as a cover by certain organizations.
