Temperatures to drop, rain showers expected in coastal areas

Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will continue to drop to become from 3 to 5 degrees below average in most regions as the country is affected by low air pressure from the southeastern side, accompanied by southwestern air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere, Meteorology Department said Saturday.

The skies will be clear to partly cloudy in general with an opportunity of rain showers over the coastal and northern regions, the wind will be westerly to northwesterly with some active gusts exceed 70 km/h in most internal regions, the sea waves will be low in amplitude, according to Saturday weather forecast.

The expected temperatures in some Syrian regions will be as follows:

Damascus 25/13, Daraa 25/14, Hasaka 30/18, Tartous 20/19, Aleppo 26/15, Deir Ezzor 30/10.
