The militia also expelled the majority of the homeowners in al-Jabsah residential compound in the city, as part of the US occupation’s scheme to empty the area of its residents and turn it into a military zone for the occupation forces.

“An armed group affiliated with QSD militia stormed on Monday the campus of the Faculties of Education and Arts and Humanities and seized student accommodation, and forced 24 faculty members and administrators out of the building, and threw their belongings in the street by force of arms,” Rector of al-Furat University branch in Hasaka Dr. Jamal al-Abdullah, said in a statement to SANA reporter.

Local sources in the region told SANA reporter that the QSD militia intends to empty the region of the civilian population, in coordination with the US occupation forces, to completely transform the region into a military zone.

The sources pointed out that QSD militia threatened the civilians residing in the student accommodation located between the Faculties of Arts and Bassel al-Assad Sports City of the need to evacuate the residential apartments and gave them a deadline before expelling them and throwing their belongings outside the apartments.

It is noteworthy, that al-Furat University branch in Hasaka uses the student accommodation as a residence for faculty members and deans of university colleges in Hasaka, since the majority of the staff members are from outside Hasaka province.
