All Syrian ports to resume normal operations, except for Banias and Ra’s al-Basit

Lattakia, SANA- Port operations are normally resumed except for those in Banias and Ra’s al-Basit, General Directorate of ports announced Thursday.

Given that the weather conditions have improved, ports are reopened in Tartous and Lattakia provinces, yet, ports in Banias and Ra’s al-Basit are still closed due to the prevailing weather conditions,” Director General of Ports Samer Kobrusly, briefed SANA reporter.

Ports were closed, in the previous day, to fishing and marine navigation due to higher velocity winds and high amplitude waves, taking into consideration all precautionary measures to maintain public safety.
