Hiking, cycling to ease negative effects of the earthquake in Hama

Hama, SANA- In order to mitigate the negative psychological effects of the earthquake that struck the country last February, Salamiyah City Council and Salamiyah Sports Club, in cooperation with the civil associations in the City, organized a walk and a bicycle race in a number of streets and neighborhoods of the city.

The head of Salamiyah City Council, Eng. Suhad Zaidan, said that the sporting event aims to alleviate the psychological effects caused by the earthquake and to return to a normal sportive life.

In his part, Safwan Seifo, head of Salamiyah Sports Club, said that this event is an invitation to joy, pointing out the club keeps pace with all sports activities.
