Makhlouf discusses with WFP the mechanism to include those affected by the earthquake with the program’s aids

Damascus-SANA, Minister of Local Administration and Environment, Chairman of the Higher Committee for Relief, Hussein Makhlouf, discussed with the Deputy Country Director of the World Food Program(WFP), Ruth Smith, the mechanism for including those affected by the earthquake in the aid program, in coordination with the sub-committees for relief in the affected governorates.

During the meeting, the household assessment survey conducted by the program for families benefiting from humanitarian aid was reviewed, to include families affected by the earthquake, where Minister Makhlouf expressed his thanks for the efforts made by the program to increase funding.

Smith, in turn, expressed the program’s interest and its endeavor to include those families affected and gave a brief presentation on the efforts made by the program since the first day of the disaster to date, in cooperation with all partners and relief sub-committees in the affected governorates.
