Abu Dhabi, SANA- As a complement to the Arab Youth Media Initiative in media field, a number of outstanding Syrian students at Damascus University- Faculty of Journalism have participated in The Global Media Congress 2022 hosted in UAE.
“Given the importance of the Global Media Congress for shaping the future of the media industry, a number of outstanding students have been selected in cooperation with Damascus University with the objective of developing an empowered generation of young media professionals and influencers,” Dr. Amal Melhem, the founder of the initiative told SANA.
“It is our duty towards our country to upgrade media to counter “one way” information flow from the West” Melhem stated, adding that such events are a practical training to bridge the gap between education curriculums and the labour market.
