Cairo, SANA- of Syria’s national weightlifting team won two silver medals and one bronze at World Para Powerlifting (WPPO) 2022 African Open Championships, which is currently being held in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
Issa won the silver with the total lifts, while he deserved the bronze after lifting 180 kg and was only beaten by two lifters from Egypt and Iraq.
The Syrian team participating in this tournament is made up of the coach Riad Al-Qassem, the player Shadi Issa and the players Noura Badour, Fatima Al-Hassan and Rasha Al-Sheikh.
