Army achieves strategic breakthrough by controlling Deir al-Adas in Daraa

Daraa, SANA –Two members of the Syrian al-Ikhbariya news channel team were slightly injured on Saturday after being targeted by terrorists’ shells while covering military operations in Deir al-Adas town in the countryside of the southern province of Daraa.

Rabea Dibeh and Mohammad Jamal sustained wounds as takfiri terrorist organizations in neighboring villages fired shells at the media delegation in the strategically important area of Deir al-Adas, over which the army established control three days ago.

This military gain, which was considered a strategic breakthrough given that the area was a base for terrorists from which they carried out their attacks on Damascus and its countryside, was part of a broader military plan to clear the area between Damascus, Daraa and Quneitra of terrorist organizations and agents of the Israeli enemy.
