Supreme Investment Council discusses licensed projects under Investment Law No. 18

Damascus, SANA-The Supreme Investment Council held a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Hussein Arnous, and reviewed investment licenses issued under Law No. (18) of 2021.

The total number of licensed projects under the new Investment Law has reached 44 projects with an estimated cost of 1.5 trillion SYP, providing 3,991 job opportunities.

The projects cover different sectors of services, textile, pharmaceutical, metal, chemical, food, paper, wood, the construction materials industries, along with tourism, electricity and energy, distributed in the provinces of (Damascus countryside – Aleppo – Hama – Al-Suwaydā -Tartous-Lattakia and Homs).

Arnous underlined that all needed facilities should constantly be provided to investors to carry out their projects at deadline.

Investment Law No. (18) of 2021 garantees establishing an investment environment to encourage domestic and foreign capitals to invest in Syria having the advantage of unprecedented incentives , customs and tax facilities.
