Damascus, SANA-Syria has affirmed that the latest Israeli acts of piracy have begun to take an escalated and dangerous form that rise to war crimes, saying that it reserves its full right to respond to the Israeli occupation aggression and hold it the political, moral and legal responsibilities for targeting the Syrian naval, air ports and public utilities.
“Nearly at 20.16 p.m. Tuesday, the Israeli occupation targeted Aleppo International Airport with a number of missiles from the direction of the Mediterranean, west of Lattakia, that caused big material damage to the airport runway and made it out of service” Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said in a message addressed to the UN Secretary-General and President of the Security Council.
The Ministry added that while the Syrian Arab Republic retains its full right to respond to the Israeli occupation aggression and hold it the political, moral and legal responsibilities for targeting the Syrian naval, air ports and public utilities, it firmly believes that the Israeli side resorts to intensifying those acts of aggression in order to escalate tension and conflict in the region and the world as a result of the conviction of its irresponsible leaders about the existence of unlimited US support and cover.
