Cuban officials renew solidarity with Syria in its war against terrorism

Havana, SANA Cuban officials have renewed their country’s solidarity with Syria in its war against terrorism and extremism.

During separate meetings with Head of the Syrian diplomatic mission in Havana Dr. Loae al-Uoji, President of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, Kenya Serrano, and Director of
Middle East and North Africa Department at the Central Committee of Cuban Communist Party, Clara Pulido Escandell, stressed that the Cuban people have been standing by Syria in confronting terrorism.

Serrano and Escandell stressed that Syria’s victory over the terrorist organizations is a victory for the Cuban revolution and all honorable people in the world in the face of their common enemies, on top of them Imperialism, Zionism and their reactionary allies.

The Cuban officials stressed that the aggression on Syria doesn’t seek to achieve democracy and help the Syrian people , but it rather aims at destroying and undermining this country which is an example of coexistence.

They stressed that Cuba highly appreciates the sacrifices and resilience of the Syrian people in the face of the global imperialism and terrorism.

For his part, al-Uoji reviewed the reality of what is happening in Syria, calling for supporting Syria in combating terrorism, ending funding, arming and training the armed terrorist organizations and for stopping impeding the political solution among the Syrians themselves.
