Matvienko: Dialogue with the West may be resumed after end of the operation in Ukraine

Moscow, SANA- Speaker of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko has considered that the dialogue between Russia and the West can be resumed after the end of the special military operation to protect the residents of Donbass.

“I believe that there will be an opportunity to resume dialogue when we finish the special military operation, and I do not doubt for one minute that this operation will be completed successfully,” Matvienko said in an interview with the Russian Izvestia newspaper.

Matvienko added that Russia is still open to dialogue, but not according to Western rules, but rather on the basis of international law and mutual respect.

She affirmed that Moscow is open to a dialogue that would guarantee equal and indivisible global security on the European continent.
