High winds cause power outage in Hasaka province

Hasaka, SANA- Strong winds had caused power outage in Hasaka province as Tabqa-al-Bawab 230kV Transmission Line went out of service.

Director–General of Hasaka Electrical Company Anwar Akleh said that the 230kV Transmission Line was cut due to the heavy winds and the electrical supply to the cities and villages of Hasaka provinces was disrupted.

He added that the storm also caused an unclear malfunction on the line and it needs to detect its path to determine it and to start repair it in case the weather conditions improve.

The regions of northern and eastern Syria were hit by sand and dust storms over the past two days, causing material damage.
