Defense Ministry says Russian air forces shot down two fighters and 30 Ukrainian drones

Moscow, SANA- Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Major-General Igor Konashenkov announced Friday that Russian air defenses shot down two fighters and 30 Ukrainian drones, targeting 24 military installations, including 18 military gatherings, an artillery battery and two depots of missile artillery weapons in the Krasnopolye region of the Donetsk People’s Republic that were used by Ukrainian forces.

“High-precision missiles destroyed a large Ukrainian ammunition depot in the vicinity of the Energomashspetsstal plant and 10 sites of the Ukrainian armed forces in the Zaporozhye province last night.”, Konashenkov said in a press briefing.

Konashenkov added that the missile forces in Nikiforovka town destroyed Ukrainian S-300 anti-aircraft missile system and 5 sites of the Ukrainian armed forces, while artillery units destroyed 6 administration headquarters, 3 ammunition depots, and 187 focal points, a military assembly, 26 Ukrainian artillery batteries, 41 Ukrainian combat equipment, and 208 Nazi personnel.

The spokesman pointed out that the Russian air defense system shot down a Su-25 and MiG-29 of the Ukrainian Air Force in the vicinity of the town of Priaobrogoney in Luhansk People’s Republic, and intercepted 4 Tochka ballistic missiles as 30 Ukrainian drones were also shot down over the towns of Parvenkovo and Balakliya in Kherson Province, Staromykhailovka, Yasynuvata , Pervomaiskvy and Chernobyovka.
