Russian MoD: 46 Ukrainian military facilities targeted, 1,026 soldiers surrendered

Moscow, SANA- Russian Defense Ministry spokesman, Major General Igor Konashenkov announced that Russian Armed Forces continue to carry out the special military operation in Ukraine, as they destroyed during the last night with high-precision sea and air missiles two large depots of artillery rocket weapons of the Ukrainian armed forces in the towns of Sadovoye and Chudnov, as well as two Mi-24 and two Mi-8 helicopters.

In a press briefing on Wednesday, Konashenkov added that 1,026 members of the 36th Marine Corps of Ukraine surrendered and voluntarily laid down arms in the vicinity of the Ilyich mining plant in Mariupol city as a result of the successful offensive operations of the Russian Armed Forces and units of the forces of the Donetsk People’s Republic.

Konashenkov noted that among the Ukrainian soldiers who surrendered were 162 officers and 47 military women, pointing out that 151 of them were provided with the necessary medical assistance and all of them were later rushed to the Mariupol City Hospital.

Konashenkov stated that the tactical operational aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed 46 Ukrainian military facilities, including two command centers, a radar station in the vicinity of Borovoye town, two missile launchers, and 4 sites for mobilizing Ukrainian combat equipment.

He added that the Russian air defense forces shot down two Ukrainian drones over Borovoye town, as the missile and artillery forces destroyed 693 targets.

Russian Defense Ministry’s spokesperson stressed that since the beginning of the special operation, 130 aircraft, 103 helicopters and 447 drones have been shot down, 244 anti-aircraft missile systems, 2,169 tanks and other armored vehicles, 243 missile launchers, 931 field guns and mortars, as well as 2,076 special military vehicles of the Ukrainian armed forces have been also destroyed.
