Damascus, SANA –Foreign and Expatriates Ministry vehemently condemned the crime committed by the armed terrorist gangs against the Egyptian army in Sinai which claimed the lives of 40 soldiers and injured many others.
In a statement to SANA on Friday, the source said that the repeated terrorist attacks targeting members of the Egyptian army clearly reveal the schemes plotted against the components of the forces which defend the sovereignty and independence of our Arab countries and their just causes, adding that this requires more unity among our countries to stand up to the threat of terrorism and extremism which allied with the enemies of our Arab Nation.
” Our condemnation is stemmed from the fact that our people in Syria and Egypt stand in the same trench against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS)terrorist organization and many other terrorist organizations,” the source said.
The source expressed Syria’s sincere condolences to the martyrs’ families, stressing that our joint war against terrorism and extremism is the guarantee for the future of our Nation, its strength and dignity.
Yesterday, bloody terrorist car bombs and mortar attacks targeted headquarters and facilities affiliated to the Egyptian security apparatus and armed forces in al-Arish city, north of Sinai, causing the death and injury of scores of soldiers.
