Damascus, SANA-Regional leadership of al-Baath Arab Socialist Party affirmed Wednesday that the consultative meeting in Moscow is “a new examination to the credibility of participants and the extent of their national commitment to Syria as people and territory.”
“The Syrian state, feeling responsible towards the Homeland and people, has pushed to avail any opportunity that helps reach a political solution to the crisis,” al-Baath regional leadership said in a statement.
It said the initiative, proposed by President Bashar al-Assad on January 6th, 2013, was one of the most important initiatives as it was comprehensive and offered three phases to build the future of Syria at the hands of its sons.
“Syria is an independent, sovereign country which has an international strong position where all world countries recognize it,” the statement said.

In another context, al-Baath regional leadership affirmed that the special operation of the Lebanese resistance against the Israeli occupation’s forces in the occupied Shebaa farms is a new victory for the resistance axis, adding that the Arabs aspire for achieving the final victory of the nation on the Zionist entity.
A large number of the Israeli enemy’s soldiers were killed and wounded through a special operation launched by the Lebanese national resistance against an Israeli military convoy in Shebaa farms today.
