Russia distributes humanitarian aid in Ukraine and Donbass

Moscow, SANA- The Russian military transported and delivered more than 40 tons of humanitarian aid to an area in Kyiv province of Ukraine, Russian Defense Ministry said on Sunday.

‘The Russian military distributed more than 40 tons of humanitarian aid to the people of Bortniansky district in Kyiv province,’ RIA Novosti news agency quoted a source at the defense ministry as saying in a statement.

The source added that foodstuffs and basic necessities were distributed to the residential centers located in the area which is under the control of Russian army, noting the aid includes some foodstuffs such as grains, meat, canned fish, sweets, bakery products, as well as bottled drinking water.

In turn, Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations said that over the past two days, its staff have distributed more than 330 tons of humanitarian aid to the people of Donbass and Ukraine.

Three convoys of the ministry, including 42 trucks of humanitarian aid have been distributed in Ukraine and Donbas, which are facing a difficult situation, the ministry added in a statement on Sunday.
