Cloudy weather prevails, rain expected

Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will drop to become from 3 to 7 degrees below average as the country is affected by a superficial low air pressure accompanied by cold polar air mass in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

Meteorology Department expected in its Thursday bulletin that the weather will be partly cloudy to rainy, heavy rainfall will be accompanied by thunder on the coastal region.

The department warned against the formation of torrential streams of rain in low areas and valleys, snow is expected over mountains.

The winds will be westerly to southwesterly of moderate in speed with active gusts exceeding 65 kilometers per /h, on the western regions, and the sea waves will be medium to high in amplitude.

The expected temperature degrees in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 13 / 5, Homs   11 / 6 , Hasaka 14 / 4  , Lattakia  15 / 11  , Aleppo 11  / 4  and Hama  13 / 7   .
