Russian troops destroy 2,396 Ukrainian military facilities

Moscow, SANA- More than 2,300 Ukrainian military facilities have been destroyed since the beginning of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, Russian Defense Ministry announced on Monday.

“Over the period of the special operation, 2,396 Ukrainian military infrastructure facilities have been destroyed, including 82 command and communications centers, 119 S-300, Buk-M1 and Osa air defense systems and also 76 radar stations,” the Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said.

The Russian armed forces also destroyed 827 Ukrainian tanks and other combat armored vehicles, 84 multiple rocket launchers, 304 field artillery guns and mortars, 603 special military vehicles and also 78 drones, the general said.

He added “Last night, Russian Aerospace Forces fighter aircraft and military air defense shot down three more Su-27s of the Ukrainian Air Force in the Poltava region, one Su-25 in the Gostomel region, two Mi-24 helicopters in the Makarov region and eight unmanned aerial vehicles, including Bayraktar TB-2.”

Konashenkov added “Yesterday at around 17.00 Moscow time, on Pobedy Avenue in Mariupol, DPR servicemen collided with a unit of Ukrainian armed nationalists. The militants drove more than 150 civilians ahead of them, hiding behind them as a ‘human shield.”

The Ukrainian nationalists opened fire from behind civilians. As a result of fire, the Ukrainian nationalists killed four and wounded five civilians, the spokesman said.
