New York, SANA- Russia stressed its rejection of any attempt by the Israeli occupation entity to impose its authority on the occupied Syrian Golan, saying that Golan is an integral part of Syrian territory.
“We, in Russia, are concerned about the plans announced by Israel regarding the expansion of its settlement activity in the occupied Golan, which contradict and violate the rules of the 1949 Geneva Convention,” First Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the United Nations, Dmitry Polyanskiy, said in a briefing posted on Russian diplomatic mission’s twitter website.
Polyanskiy, added that Russia does not recognize Israel’s authority on Golan , which is considered as part and parcel of Syria.
