Presence of US forces in some countries including Syria is illegitimate, Konečná says

Prague, SANA-Head of the Czech Moravian Communist Party and Member of the European Parliament representing the Czech Republic, Kateřina Konečná, has stressed that the US military presence in Syria is illegitimate and plays a subversive role.

“This presence contributes to destabilizing Syria and sabotaging efforts aimed at resolving the crisis in it,” Konečná said in an interview with the Czech TV on Wednesday.

She noted that the presence of US forces in many countries had the same aim of sabotage and spreading destruction.

 “The escalation by Washington with regard to the situation in Ukraine will not lead to any positive result,” Konečná added.

She affirmed her party’s rejection of her country’s participation in increasing this escalation in any way.
