On the 5th anniversary of Aleppo victory… education and health sectors in remarkable progress

Aleppo, SANA-On the 5th anniversary of the liberation of Aleppo from terrorism, the Directorate of Education continues the rehabilitation and restoration works for schools as the number of schools witnessed a noticeable increase from 290 to 1705 schools with more than 654 thousand students.

Director of Education department in Aleppo, Ibrahim Maso, told SANA reporter that the educational sector witnesses a remarkable recovery, as 30 schools will be ready in the next academic semester which will positively reflect on the quality of the educational process.

Meanwhile in the health sector, despite the effects of the devastation inflicted on health facilities as a result of terrorism, the cadres of this sector provided free medical and treatment services to citizens and patients, rehabilitation and restoration work began to include most health centers and hospitals, some of which were out of service to return to work, equipped with the latest medical equipment.

Dr. Ziad Taha, Director of Aleppo Health department, said that this year, the Eye Hospital was restored to service after being rehabilitated and restored, and the ambulance department was ready in Zahi Azraq Hospital, with a capacity of /30/ beds, and work is underway to restore and equip the basic compound at the hospital with a capacity of /200/ beds to put it into service at the beginning of next year.

He pointed out to the continued implementation of periodic vaccination campaigns to immunize children against diseases, and with the emergence of the Corona pandemic, centers and hospitals have been dedicated to treat the injured and provide the vaccine to citizens free of charge through health staff, and a number of recovery cases have been recorded for elderly patients.
