Temperatures around average, fog expected in several areas

Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will rise slightly to become around or higher than average as the country is affected by a superficial high air pressure accompanied by western air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

The Meteorology Department expected in its Thursday bulletin that the skies will be partly cloudy in general, various rain showers are expected on western and southern regions, as the weather will gradually become stable in the afternoon. The winds will be western to northwestern between low to moderate in speed, while the sea waves will be moderate to become low in amplitude in the evening.

According to the bulletin, the weather will be cold at night , warning against the formation of fog at night and in the early morning in Damascus Ghota, al-Qalamoun and the northern and central regions.

The expected temperatures in some main Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 16/07, Homs 18/07, Hasaka 18/05, Aleppo 15/08 and Deir Ezzor 20/06.
