Awqaf Ministry condemns desecration of Sheikh Mohammad Nabhan Shrine by Takfiri terrorists

Damascus, SANA – Awqaf Ministry condemned the Takfiri aggression on al-Sheikh Mohammad Nabhan Shrine and shrines of Auliyas (shrines of famous Muslim clergymen) in Aleppo.

The Ministry said in a statement “The hand of criminality is still reaching our Auliyas’ shrines and clergymen, in a violation of all values and in a sacrilege of sanctities,”
Those who shed the blood of innocent people will undoubtedly desecrate the sanctity of the dead people and the Auliyas, the Ministry said, calling upon all clergymen of the Arab and Muslim Nations to be united in confronting terrorism.
“It is important for the intellectuals to unify their efforts to disprove the Wahhabist ideology that breeds terrorism and criminality everywhere”, the statement said.
Two days ago, Takfiri terrorists razed the shrine of Sheikh Muhammad al-Nabhan, a Sufi clergyman in al-Keltawia Mosque in Bab al-Hadid area in Old Aleppo.
They also damaged the library of the Mosque that contains hundreds of books that belong to the Keltawi School, in addition to storming into a number of neighboring houses and stealing them.
