Cairo supports efforts for a political solution to the crisis in Syria, Shoukry says

Cairo, SANA-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, Sameh Shoukry, affirmed Egypt’s support for all efforts aimed at finding a comprehensive political solution to the crisis in Syria.

An official spokesperson at the Egyptian Foreign Ministry twitted on Thursday that Shoukry met in Cairo UN special envoy for Syria Geir Pedersen as the two sides discussed the situation in Syria and its various dimensions.

Shoukry met Syrian Foreign Minister, Faysal Mikdad, in New York last month on the sidelines on UN General Assembly meetings. They discussed relations between the two states and the latest developments.
