A man and his wife and daughter martyred in mine explosion west of Palmyra

Palmyra, SANA- A man, his wife, and his daughter were martyred and his son was injured when a landmine left behind by Daesh terrorist organization “ISIS” went off in al-Baiyarat al-Gharbyia area, west of Palmyra, in Homs eastern countryside.

SANA’s reporter in Palmyra said that a mine left behind by Daesh terrorist organization “ISIS” exploded in al-Baiyarat al-Gharbyia area, west of Palmyra, which led to the martyrdom of a man and his wife who are in their fifties, and their 5-year-old daughter, and the injury of their son, who are residents of Palmyra Badia “semi-desert”.

Director of the General Authority of Palmyra National Hospital, Dr. Walid Odeh, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the explosion caused the injury of an entire family of the area’s residents, and they were rushed to Palmyra National Hospital, where three of them succumbed to their injuries, the father, his wife and their child, while the necessary first aid was given to their young son before he was transferred to Homs hospitals.

Ahead of their defeat in the region, the terrorist organizations planted mines and explosive devices in their areas of deployment in villages, towns and agricultural lands, some of which were manufactured in a sophisticated way under the supervision of foreign experts, which makes the process of finding and dismantling them more complicated.
