Damascus, SANA- Traffic Department at the Interior Ministry said on Saturday that most main roads in Syria are open while some roads are closed or hardly passable due to weather conditions.
In Damascus countryside all roads are open except the road of Damascus-Homs which is hardly passable due to the accumulation of snow.
The roads of Qatana-Aysam, Qatana-Rakhla and Qatana-Qala’et Jandal, al-Rima-Bqa’sam-Erna and Eyn al-Sha’ara-Khabret al-Souda and the road of al-Jibba-Asal al-Ward which leads to Yabrud are closed for traffic due to the accumulation of snow.
In Sweida province, all roads are not open due to the accumulation of snow and the formation of ice.
In Quneitra, all roads are hardly passable due to the formation of ice.
In Homs and in Hama provinces all main roads are passable except some sub-roads which are hardly passable or closed due to the accumulation of snow.
In Lattakia, all main roads are open expect some sub-roads due to the accumulation of snow and the formation of ice, and in Tartous all roads are open except a number of roads such as al-Qadmous-Massyaf , al-Qadmous-Banias, and all the roads which lead to Dwair Raslan and all roads to al-Qadmous due to the snowdrift.
