Worldwide Coronavirus death toll surpasses four million and 181 thousand

Capitals, SANA- The novel coronavirus has claimed the lives of more than 4 million and 181 thousand people worldwide since its outbreak in December 2019, according to the latest statistics by the American Worldometers website which tracks the latest developments of the virus.

The website added that the total number of the coronavirus cases worldwide has reached up to 195,294,208, while the deaths have amounted to 4,181,903, and the recoveries have climbed to 177,092,390.

The US still on top of the worst-affected countries by the virus in terms of the number of infections and deaths as it has registered 626,919 fatalities out of 35,256,925 infections, while India comes in the second place with 421,411 deaths out of 31,439,764 infections.

Meanwhile, Brazil comes in the third place with 550,502 deaths out of 19,707,662 infections.
