Worldwide coronavirus death toll exceeds four million and 48 thousand

Capitals, SANA- The novel coronavirus has claimed the lives of more than four million and 48 thousand people around the world since its outbreak began in December 2019, according to the latest statistics of the American Worldometers website.

According to the website, which tracks the latest developments of the virus, the total number of the coronavirus infections around the world has so far reached up to 185,95218, and the total number of deaths has climbed to 404,410, while the total number of people recovering from infection with the virus has reached up to 17,144,728.

The United States continues to lead the countries most affected by the virus in terms of infections and deaths, with 622,845 deaths out of 3,473,159 infections, followed by India with 4,08792 deaths out of 3,087,907 infections, and Brazil is third with 533,488 deaths out of 19,089,940 infections.
