Worldwide coronavirus death toll passes 3 million and 750 thousand

Capitals, SANA- The novel coronavirus has claimed the lives of more than 3 million and 750 thousand people worldwide since it outbreak in December 2019, according to the latest statistics by the American Worldometers website, which tracks the latest developments of the virus.

The website added that the total number of the coronavirus infections worldwide has climbed to 174,348,206 till now, while the death toll has amounted to 3,750,967, and the recoveries have reached up to 157,598,142.

The US is still on top of the worst-hit countries by the virus in terms of the number of infections and deaths after recording 612,603 deaths out of 34,223,497 infections, while India comes in the second place with 351,344 fatalities out of 28,996,949 infections.

Meanwhile, Brazil comes in the third place with 474,414 fatalities out of 16,984,218 infections.
