Coronavirus infections exceed 117million, deaths approach 2,599,000 worldwide

Capitals, SANA-  The total number of coronavirus infections worldwide has surpassed 117 million, according to the American Worldometers website, while the fatalities have approached to 2 million and 599,000 since its outbreak last December, 2019.

The website added that the worldwide coronavirus infections toll has amounted to 117,033,901 and the fatalities toll climbed up to 2,598,399, while the number of recoveries reached up to 92,575,803 till now.

The US still tops the countries affected by the coronavirus in terms of the number of fatalities and infections recording 536,928 deaths out of 29,643,263 infections and India comes second with 157,791 fatalities out of 11,210,502 infections, while Brazil is in the third place  with 264,325 deaths out of 10,938,836 infections.
