Occupied Jerusalem, SANA -Israeli occupation continues to breach the international law and the international legitimacy resolutions, as it announced on Wednesday a new plan to establish 2,600 settlement units on the occupied Palestinian territories days after announcing a plan to establish 800 new units as part of the settlement and Judization war that aims to isolate Palestinian cities and villages from each other in implementation of the so-called (Deal of the Century).
Palestinian Presidential Spokesman, Nabil Abu Rudeineh indicated in a statement that the occupation settlement schemes constitute a flagrant violation of the international legitimacy resolutions, on top of which resolution No. (2334), which affirms the illegality of settlement and demands to stop it, which entails a firm international stance to force the occupation to stop these schemes.
Abu Rudeineh noted that usurping more Palestinian lands by the Israeli occupation and the establishment of settlement units on them undermines any opportunity to establish an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, stressing that the Palestinian people will continue their struggle till foiling all conspiracies and schemes that target their cause.
In a statement to SANA reporter, a member of Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization Wasel Abu Yousef affirmed that the occupation is trying to impose a de-facto policy through building settlements, the Judization and the displacement of Palestinians, in addition to demolishing their homes, constructing settlement roads on their lands and attacking the Islamic and Christian holy sites.
Abu Yousef stressed at the same time that the Palestinian people will continue to adhere to their land and rights and to defend them till thwarting all the colonial annexation schemes.
Chairman of the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, Walid Assaf indicated that the occupation has intensified settlement and Judization and announced since the beginning of this year the establishment of more than 4,500 settlement units, noting that the occupation’s goal behind the scheme of establishing 2,600 settlement units is to complete the isolation of Palestinian towns from each other in parallel with continuing the displacement of dozens of Palestinian families.
He pointed out that when President Donald Trump had been in office, the occupation had established more than 40,000 settlement units and usurped large areas of lands with the aim of expanding settlements within the so-called (deal of the century), adding that Trump went and the Palestinian people remained on their land steadfast, adhering to their rights.
