Damascus, SANA- Foreign and Expatriate Ministry affirmed on Monday that the statement of US Department of State about the continuation of sanctions on Syria shows the US Administration’s full status of disconnection from reality.
“ The Syrian Arab Republic is astonished at the statement of US Department of State on the continuation of sanctions on Syria which shows a state of complete disconnect from reality and the US Administration’s usage of language and idioms which contradict facts and have become a registered trademark of the US hostility against Syria,” an official source at Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said.
The source added that the Syrian people’s suffering is an outcome of terrorism backed by the US and an outcome of the unjust and unconditional coercive measures that affect citizens in their lives and livelihoods, in a flagrant violation of the principles of international laws and charter of human rights, furthermore, they rise to the level of war crimes.
The source added that the American Administration has to realize that the aggression on Syria is doomed to failure and the future of Syria is an exclusive right for its citizens.
