Prime Minister: Increasing communications with friendly countries to limit effects of economic sanctions

Damascus, SANA – Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi on Wednesday stressed the government’s keenness on taking all procedures to alleviate the impacts of the unjust economic sanctions imposed on Syria.

During a meeting with a delegation representing a number of areas in Damascus Countryside, al-Halqi said the government is working on reaching solutions and increasing communication with friendly countries with the aim of providing the Syrians with all their basic needs, especially food supplies, petroleum products, and medicine.

For their part, members of the delegation stressed their keenness on accomplishing national reconciliation to restore security and stability to all of the province’s areas.
