Hama, SANA-Fires have erupted again in forests in the vicinity of the villages of Beit Atiq, al-Hikr and Ain Shams in Massyaf southwestern countryside as the firefighting teams and the Syrian Arab Army personnel as well as the internal security forces are trying to contain the fires and to prevent it from reaching the forests and farms in Ain Halaqim and Hazour.
Chairman of Ain Halaqim City Council Ragheb Kousa, in a statement to SANA reporter, said that the firefighting teams and the civil defense are exerting tireless efforts to contain the fires in the aforementioned villages and to prevent it from extending to the forests and fruitful trees in Ain Halaqim and Hazour in which a massive fire which erupted in them has been extinguished over the past two days.
