Damascus, SANA – Low pressure will strengthen across Syria accompanied with a cold and wet air mass bringing heavy rain and mountain snow during the coming days. Temperature is below average of about 4 to 7 degrees.
The Meteorology Department said Tuesday weather will continue partly cloudy in the morning and is expected to turn into rainy and cloudy through the afternoon and evening.
Snow level will lower to near or below 1700 meters, the department added.
On Wednesday, the department said an area of low pressure would move inland across Syria, adding that temperature would witness a further drop of about 5 to 8 degrees, while the weather would continue to be partly cloudy and rainy.
According to a bulletin issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, rainfall amounts during the last 24 hours till 07:00 Tuesday morning reached in Damascus and its countryside (3,3mm in Mezzeh), in Sweida city 3mm, in Quneitra 2mm, in Hasaka 10mm.
