Moscow, SANA- Russian President’s Special envoy to the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Michael Bogdanov on Tuesday discussed with Syria’s Ambassador to Russia Dr. Riyad Hadad the latest developments in Syria and the region.
Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that during the meeting, Bogdanov affirmed his country’s firm support to the Syria’s sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity.
He also asserted Russia’s continued and effective support to Syria in combating terrorism.
The statement added that the two sides also discussed means of enhancing bilateral cooperation in the economic and humanitarian domains in a way that would contribute to speeding up the reconstruction process in Syria.
