Moscow, SANA – Member of Daesh (ISIS) terrorist organization Mohammad Hussein Saud said that the British intelligence had recruited him to monitor and photograph Syrian and Russian military sites in Syria.
In confessions published by Russia’s TASS News Agency, the terrorist said that British intelligence recruited him after he decided to return to Palmyra after fleeing it, contacting him through intermediaries and instructing him to become a spy and to head to Palmyra.
Saud was told he would be provided with money and phones and everything else he needs, and that his task was to photograph Syrian and Russian military sites and send the pictures via the internet.
He said that he met British intelligence officers at al-Tanf area on the Syrian-Jordanian borders, an area occupied by US forces, after fleeing Palmyra where he was a member of Daesh.
Saud said that the British intelligence wanted information on important Russian sites in Syria and how they are being protect, so that they could be targeted at a later time.
He added that the British also recruited a former tour guide from Palmyra who spoke several languages, putting him in charge of leading their spies.
