Damascus, SANA – Upon the directives of President Bashar al-Assad, Presidential Affairs Minister Mansour Azzam on Monday relayed to the heads of Christian denominations that follow the Gregorian calendar the congratulations of President al-Assad on occasion of Easter.
Azzam offered congratulations to patriarchs, archbishops, pastors, and fathers at the Greek Melkite Catholic Patriarchate, the Antioch Syriac Catholic Archdiocese, the Armenian Orthodox Archdiocese, the Armenian Catholic Archdiocese, the National Evangelical Church, the Maronite Archdiocese, the Latin Monastery, and the Chaldean Church.
In turn, the heads of Christian denominations thanked President al-Assad for this gesture, praying to God to protect Syria and its people and leadership.
