Moscow, SANA – The Russian Foreign Ministry said the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) is witnessing manipulation and contraventions that seek to make it a tool for carrying out Western plans.
In a statement commenting on the internal OPCW investigation into the leaks related to the alleged chemical attack in Douma, the Ministry said that the press conference held by OPCW Director General Fernando Arias did not address whether the OPCW report was politicized or not.
The Ministry said the situation in the OPCW is deteriorating, and that the press conference was held to draw attention away from the blatant manipulation and contraventions within it for the purpose of turning the organization into a tool for carrying out the geopolitical plans of the US and its allies.
