Moscow, SANA_ Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that President Vladimir Putin, during his visit to Syria, praised the efforts made by Russian forces in the framework of its mission to combat international terrorism.
Shoigu, in a conference in Moscow on Friday, added that the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian army and armed forces made a visit to Damascus on current January 7, during which he met President Bashar al-Assad and visited the Russian forces assembly location in Damascus.
President Putin praised the efforts of Russian forces and their ideal execution of the tasks assigned to them in combating international terrorism, the Russian minister said.
Shoigu added that the talks with the Syrian side touched upon that the peaceful life in the country is gradually improving, indicating to the role of the Russian forces in that.
